Podiatrist Jurjen Wedeven

I studied medicine at the VU. After my graduate, another passion beckoned: the computer. I ended up in the business world as an IT specialist. After years I found no challenge there anymore. I longed again for a human-centered profession and returned to the medical field by becoming a podiatrist.

I naturally strive for good contact during the consultation. That goes both ways: I explain as much as possible about my findings and therapy, but I also try to listen as closely as possible. I always keep developing, not only to keep up with the latest scientific knowledge, but also to deepen the profession. For example, I was trained in:

  • Manual therapy, which cannot be separated from the profession of podiatry
  • Ultrasound, I make an ultrasound if necessary
  • Trigger point massage
  • Dry needling, as an accompanying therapy for overworked muscles.

I work closely with the best medical pedicures in case of Diabetes Mellitus.
